A living room is usually not complete without an entertainment unit. This is the central piece that brings everything together and makes the living room what it is. It's such a common piece of furniture because it basically includes everything that room needs in only one unit. It has a TV stand, plenty of storage space and display areas. This particular one makes no exception.
It fits most TVs measuring 32 to 65 inches (the stand/mount combo is actually 16.5 x 27.5 x 50.8 inches). The smart design also adds two shelves with a unique ability to swivel, so your TV can be directed up to 15 degrees in all directions by pivoting the mounting section.
Create a freestanding, large entertainment center by creating two stacks of cabinets the same height on either side of one wider cabinet which serves as the base or focal point for the center. Use a countertop to span the entire unit for the main shelf, or use a glass desktop or reclaimed door in place of the countertop. Connect cabinets to one another by drilling holes through one into the next, securing with bolts and nuts. This way, you can disassemble them easily later on. Drill holes in the backs and bottoms of cabinets to allow for cables and wiring. Add a power strip inside one of the cabinets for tidy cords.
