Traditional, massive cherry-tree TV stand it reminds of homes in America when the whole family watches TV during Thanksgiving- in the corner of their living room. Built in walls, it also contains cabinets and decorative shelf for Christmas trinkets.
This rustic entertainment center with industrial touches by FLO Design Studio uses a few tricks to keep it from weighing down the room. Pipe pieces act as feet to the unit, and the clearance between the cabinetry and the floor offer a lightness to the look. The open shelves appear to float against the wall, and the unit is made from light-toned reclaimed wood.
The piece that you see here was designed by Morten Georgsen and it has a beautiful design that's both modern and minimalist. As you can see, it's composed of two basic shapes. There's a low unit that can be used as a TV stand with storage drawers underneath that have drop-down doors and another storage unit with matte glass doors. The TV can also be suspended and the efect would be approximately the same.
